About This Event
Spectrum Tokyo is a platform that explores new design trends and broader perspectives on design through magazines, events, and festivals.
The Spectrum Tokyo Meetup aims to bring together people from diverse fields to share knowledge related to design, business, and technology, and to connect with new peers. The atmosphere is intended to be casual and relaxed, like a casual drinking gathering, rather than formal.
We’re going online!
Spectrum Tokyo has been hosting offline events almost every month since last year. However, as the organizing team is based in the Kanto region, the events have been centered around Tokyo. We have received many requests from people in other regions or those who cannot attend in-person events due to various circumstances such as childcare or nursing care responsibilities.
To address this, the upcoming meetup will be held completely online. Spectrum Tokyo’s meetups aim to provide a space for diverse individuals involved in digital design to interact and engage in dialogue. Instead of a one-way seminar, this online meetup will use a service called Gather to create a virtual venue where participants can walk around.
The virtual venue will have several tables set up with different topics. Participants can freely move around and join the table discussions of their interest. The organizers will facilitate the event by providing prompts to start conversations and opportunities for shuffling, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
The meetup is designed to be a space where participants can share their challenges, concerns, and interests with others and engage in discussions. Rather than a one-way lecture-style seminar, we aim to foster casual networking among industry professionals, allowing them to learn from each other’s approaches and bring back new insights.
